Got the mirena IUD removed January 13th, Bled for a couple of days not too much, More like spotting. Got my period on Saturday and I have been excessively bleeding A LOT with clots and some cramps here an there. I’m thinking about calling the obygn because I’m socking pads and tampons fast. Have literally been changing soaked tampons every 30-45mins 🤮☹️

I would call just Incase. When I got mine removed I didn’t experience the heavy bleeding but did get the big blood clots. I only had mine in for a year. Your body is cleaning out all that extra hormones.
I had it for a year as well, Took it out because it was the worst for me. It seemed fine I only spotted for a couple of days after they removed it but now I’m gushing blood out and I feel terrible because I have Chronic Anemia
My first period was rough. I had the clots and heavy bleeding too, But not that bad.i had mirena for 2 years. I would make an appointment for sure
