Hi guys so I’m been following your advice and trying to stick to a routine to help my baby go to sleep better! Yesterday it took about 2 hours of him crying and screaming then he fell asleep. Today it took 40 mins. I just leave him in his cot. Try to sing to him but he hates bed time! Does anyone have any suggestions to help him to go to sleep without screaming or help it to get easier ? Xx

You need to try and stick to the sameish routine for a while untill u see any results hun. I tell my little ones always half hour before bed thats its bed time soon so lets tidy up your toys do some milk and go upstairs. Then get them ready bursh teeth read a story and then its bed time. They say goodnight to each other and go to their beds. My you ger one wasnt great at begining but i used to stroke her a little bit ask her if she needs anything and then tell her im going to the toilet and ill be right back. Lol wasnt always true but it just helped her knowing im not far etc. and yes she cied the first week or so but i just kept goint to her" after a quick wee" and so on.And now a couple of weeks later she just tells me night night and turns away x

he will understand a lot of what you say. Think routine takes a little longer to set with your first because they don’t have the older one to guide them. Hamish has always slept not bad from 18+ plus anyway but took until over 2 to establish a more independent bedtime. We tidy time, bath, snack with lights down low mellow tv for quiet time about 45 minutes. Teeth, story and bed. After story he now asks fir a cuddle and rolls over occasionally he asks me to pass him his water. Then shouts night mum I love you. Took until 27 months. Early arrival of little miss disrupted sleep training a bit

Routine is the best it take a while. Aaliyah been in her since she been 7 month old like in her own room Aaliyah evening routine is
Play before dinner. Dinner around 4-5. Than bath Brush. Teeth 🦷 Watch tv for a bit. Then little play before bed - goes up between 6.45-7pm we read a book and we have kiss say goodnight. We love you and just leave her in her bed. With a bottle. And she a sleep. No screaming Or crying she goes asleep straight away. Sleep throughout the night. But keep at it with anything it take time. Aaliyah 16 month now
