Anyone else’s toddler constipated all the time? My daughter is always constipated and it’s worrying me. I’ve taken her to the doctor and they found out that she was very backed up but this has been going on and off for almost a year. 😢

My youngest had to see a urologist over this. He was so backed up. They showed us the x-ray's. He was on miralax for 3 months.
@bbgirlmama, Is she straining to go at all? I hope she gets some relief soon! Poor girl. 😔
@scream.queen, there are times she strains and other times she doesn’t. The Apple juice I’ve been giving her seems to help her. I don’t know why but she seems to only say her stomach is hurting usually in the mornings.
@bbgirlmama, Is it coming out hard? My son would say his hurt anytime he would eat. Especially dinner time. Then he would end up gagging and throwing up.
Is she afraid to go? Cause my daughters doctor said that its cause she wants to go but it hurts so she thinks she has to hold it in. She gave us medicine to help her have it easy to go. I took her to a gastroenterologist cause I tried everything with my child that can help n I was surprised that juice didnt do it or even prunes but she doesn't care for those now.
@bbgirlmama I didnt try mirlax cause when I took it it was nasty n I felt sick plus I just was afraid on how much to give too. With this medicine you give 10 mL n I give it to her twice a day
I have no experience in this but how's her diet, can she do ground flaxseed, high fiber fruits and veggies, coconut milk is a good alternative to cows milk and high in calcium and vitamin D.

... we limit dairy up water intake and I mean very little dairy and that has been helping
Awww poor boy. It sucks not only on the child but also the parent. Has he been on any meds to help him?
@bbgirlmama Miramax but that never really worked taking away all dairy and once in a while he gets it has been the only thing that helps him. But we have battled this since he was a baby
Yes my daugher has had issues for just over a year iv been back to the doc like 19493 times and they just say to give her a stoolsofener of sorts gave me the name cant remeber right now
Does she ever complain about her stomach hurting? My daughter does every day usually first thing in the morning

@bbgirlmama yea everyday and she thinks gummies help the vitamin. But you can see that she is a bit bloated at times and her poop might are huge

Maybe talk to them about giving her something else, they put my son on colace for a bit also. Does she drink milk a lot?
@michellemybell09, I’ve been cutting her back on milk and cheese but I feel like I can’t completely cut it out because doesn’t she have to have calcium for bone development?
@bbgirlmama, I was told to just cut back on milk to once a day. You could also try almond milk

I mean like everyday? I'll be the first to admit.. I take them like once every blue moon. I'm trying to get better at it though. I forget easily, plus I don't like being constipated!

I usually don’t do this but I need your ladies prayers they admitted my baby in the hospital due to severe constipation and his stomach being full with poop
