ADVICE : somewhat long post, sorry.

ADVICE : somewhat long post, sorry.

So I’m stuck in this situation with my car, I have a 2013 Nissan Altima I’ve been trying to trade. I still owe on it and since I was out of work for 2 months and things hit my credit, I didn’t have the money so of course my credit suffered.

The only thing I’ve been advised to do is give my car back and my credit isn’t to where I can’t repair it, I’ve paid things down so it hasn’t hit yet. So that isn’t a option to me( not judging anyone who had to)

I’m stuck in a hard place b/c idk about you but I don’t have $7000 to put down or a co-signer w/excellent credit.

I can’t get my kids around safety anymore &&& my husband car is on its last leg.

I hate feeling like there’s nothing I can do && nowadays these “car salesmen” don’t care to help anymore, they just try to help their pockets 💵💵💵

It’s bugging as well cause you’re talking about a person that has paid everything on time& unfortunately beyond things I could control I hit a financial slump.

At this point any advice is welcomed

Not sure where you’re at but search for a carmax near you. They will do everything they can to help you out and you don’t have to have excellent credit or outrageous down payment usually

they aren’t like a regular dealership. Upfront and will let you know your options! Good luck

I would take previous posters' advice and go to a car max. I had a navy friend that had 3 cars in four years from that place because she was able to get them to give her a decent amount for the cars that she was upside down on.

You'll most likely have to eat some of the cost and roll it into your new loan though since your credit isn't so great. Just make sure you do get a car that you can keep for a long time so you're able to pay it off and not end up struggling in the meantime. Good luck.

Your situation can't be any worse than my ex husband's...he had rolled two previous cars into a truck and was paying $700/month for 7 years.

It really sucks, ppl who do what they supposed to do most of the time can’t get help.

sounds like the car dealership is just trying to screw you over. I would take it around to different dealerships and see what you can get out of it. Other dealerships can pay off your loan if they'll give you enough, you don't have to just trade it at the dealership you got it from.

I feel this pain I’m trying to sell my leased car hubby and I decided I should quit my good paying job and with the baby on the way I can’t afford the payments anymore. I want to just give it back and say eff my credit but everyone tells me they make you pay for it anyway. So I get your pain I hope you find a solution girl!

No I haven’t, I owe a lot on that car loan tbh && $11000 is too much for that car. It’s in great condition cause I don’t play about my cars but it’s not worth anything

I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.

So when I was 18, I was stupid and got a car that was a little too expensive for my price range. The payments were ridiculous because I had no co-signer, no credit, & only a $1500 down payment. I ended up losing my job and had to turn the car in after only having it for a couple of months, so my credit is HORRIBLE. I’ve been thinking about getting a secured credit card but my boyfriend says it’s a waste of time and not a good idea. But isn’t getting something like that, or a loan pretty much the only way to build your credit back up?
