Anyone cooked raw beets before? If so, best way to cook them so kids might give them a shot.... I'm going to throw some in pouches but I'd like to introduce it another way. I was wondering about in a smoothie also....idk idk
If they like pickles, slice them and place in vinegar, add salt and pepper to desired taste then chill in the fridge. I cheat and use the ones out of the can (they taste better to me). I ate them like that a ton as a kid. They were my favorite veggie!
I LOVE them roasted. Peel them and cut them and drizzle olive oil with salt and pepper and bake at 425 for 20 mins. They are also good boiled but roasted is my fave!
They may like golden beets better . More appealing , better flavor .
You could roast them , put them in soup.
I've heard this, my local grocery doesn't carry them.
We loooovr beets! My 7yr old will eat them all🤣🤣🤣
@scidg3, we love them on our garden salads. She will eat beets instead of tomatoes or cucumbers.
@humblewarriormama Oh wow!!! Pink soup might be a hit!!!
@scidg3, we have this for Christmas every year. It’s a simplified version of borscht. I LOVE it!
Or u can simple wrap them in foil drizzled with a little oil and bake them in the oven for an hour them
Come out super soft
@scidg3, you can I prefer not to i just peel how you would an apple
@bodybycheetos oh wow! I had to google it, that a whole lota BEETS!! 😅 what did that taste like?
@scidg3 sadness and it smells horrible. I actually think I refused to eat it, waited for her to go to bed, and went to taco Bell with my mom. I remember that night so clearly 😅 I don't eat beets to this day.
@bodybycheetos lol dont have nightmares about borscht!
We had beets tonight of the fav veggies I love them roasted
@madmummy lol 🤷♀️ I've never had fresh so it might be different!

What's the best way to cook bacon in your opinion?
do you...
Clean up after your SO is done cooking? Or vice versa? DF was cooking and while he was cooking I unloaded the dish washer and hand washed the pot he had used and put dishes in the dish washer, so by the time he got his plate, dishes were done and left overs were in Tupperware on the counter just in case anyone wanted seconds and counters were wiped down. The room mate asked me why I do that, and I just say that's how I was raised. I always clean up after anyone cooks in the house, eve...
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
Or u can simple wrap them in foil drizzled with a little oil and bake them in the oven for an hour them
Come out super soft
