I know I’m probably overthinking this but is it weird to throw yourself a baby shower? Is it even a thing to have a baby shower after your first baby? I don’t think anyone is going to throw us one. I kinda just want to do something small and sweet for baby girl but I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to do it myself. I have a registry but my anxiety is getting in the way of posting it to social media to let people know. I don’t want it to come across like we’re just wanting handouts lol

I would do a welcome to the world party or a sip and see but that's just me. If push comes to shove maybe throw yourself a sprinkle.

@mommaofjais my sister did this. People brought smaller gifts and were able to see my niece which most of the older women loved

I threw myself a baby shower and said never again. The stress isn’t worth it in my opinion but I encourage you to put it up on social media, you never know.

Some people see both as tacky. However I think every baby should be celebrated. Gifts or not I just want my family to come together and enjoy the celebration of my baby. I didn’t think we would do a shower as most of my sisters won’t be here and wasn’t sure if my stepmom would be either. My step sister offered to throw the shower though. Is a sprinkle just something small or when people buy diapers? I’ve never had one. I would be devastated though tbh because I am very excited about my rainbow baby girl.

I feel the same way. But I have a problem of caring too much about what people think so this is like stressing me out to the point where I’m just gonna be like, forget it. 🤦🏻♀️
I’m not really sure. I know there is a thing for diapers like a diaper party but idk if that’s what a sprinkle is. I know my husband wanted to have a diaper party. Get with his guy friends, cook out, have a beer and everyone just bring a pack of diapers. Which is cute. And I’d be cool with just having that. We have a few clothes for her but no newborn so we will probably just end up buying her everything she needs.

@mommaofjais my ex husband and I were planning on doing a "diapers for dogs" party. People bring diapers and get hot dogs and hamburgers and a keg lol that would be fun
