The comments are half criticizing the mom for slapping her daughter, the other half are saying you should never lay your hands on your parents and saying “don’t act like y’all never got whooped.”

Getting whooped and being slapped are two completely different things. She shouldn't have laid a hand on her child. Can't hit someone and expect them to sit idly by and not defend themselves.
Maybe she should look in the damn mirror and realize she's the damn issue.

If she didn't slap her and more than once I doubt this would've happened. Eventually your kids will retaliate. Whether they physically fight back or continue rebelling. She doesn't have the grounds to do anything at this point. She fought her child. Like how low can you get. All of the things she did after the fight should've been first?

This whole situation is cringe worthy and I only feel for that teenage girl. She's crying out for help and all her mother is doing is instigating the situation.
Like others have said hit your kids and you can't be surprised if they turn on you. This mother should be ashamed of herself. If her daughter has a safer environment to go to where she will thrive with a family member or friend then she should go. The mother needs therapy and a parenting class too.

Let's see. I was this child, my parents hit me, I'd go full force right back! I will N E V E R do that shit to my kids. I know what I did was wrong to them, but it wasn't right how they were too me. You cannot resort to violence in a moment of anger and not expect anyone to NOT come back at you the same way, especially children! Your the adult, your setting the example.

@massgirl, yup lots of times as a kid and a adult do you actually think a stranger would give a crap about ppls problems or think because they read some shit out of a book makes them right ... no they get paid to tell ppl what they wanna hear ppl askin me how does that make me feel bullshit makes me angry and then you tell them shit in confidentiality and they go report ppl fuk that it makes shit worse especially when all your kid does is lie 👎

I have to say I must agree therapist ain’t shit they get paid to make up shit I can find on google lmao they only no what u tell them they have no idea who you are whether your being honest or bullshitting and like u say u say one wrong thing then your in a Psych ward or dcf is being called on your kids also another thing u mentioned a stranger don’t give a fuck it’s there job to make it seem like they care. But as soon as u leave they are talking shit to the next co worker or there SO at home they can’t tell you nothing that u can’t tell your self or that u no you should be doing

I remember the last time I got slapped. I was 16, being a turdy teen, copping an attitude with my dad. He told me he’d slap me if I kept it up. I looked him straight in the eye and dared him to, said I’d slap him right back if he touched me. We didn’t get slapped or butts smacked often and at 16 it had been years since I’d heard that threat. So I was pretty surprised when he slapped me. But I followed through and slapped him right back. This was followed by a wrestling match where nobody was hurt. But it was the last time.
It didn’t solve the problem. And he shouldn’t have slapped me. I still was a turdy teenager. And my dad still sucks at communicating.

I'll probably get judged but depends on how old the child is. I'm not saying it's right but we dont know full story. Being she said teen I'd this a 13 just became teen kinda teen or like 16/17 kinda teen. It sounds like she had BEEN being ran over by her child. She said she had been doing everything for her, so sounds like her child was probably spoiled brat and she just got tired of it and snapped. That's why be careful how you spoil your kid in first place to have to get to that point. Still moms fault even if this is what happened. Stop trying to be best friend and be a PARENT.

I can understand how different parents have different rules/ways they parent. She didn’t put an age so we don’t know...teen can mean anything from 13-17! Regardless a slap in the face/back of the head/anywhere on the head is a big ass no from me! I just see that as so demeaning but that stems from my childhood my dad would do that to my younger brother. I thought it was so wrong.. Not saying her daughter was justified either. I was whooped by both of my parents and grandparents as a child and even a teen. It wasn’t until my dad left my mom that I met my stepmom and she’s a firm believer in no spankings that it caused a lot of drama between her and my dad because of their differences.

yeah I'm not saying she was right but we dont know what kinda teen this is. Is she a partier/drinker/drugs or maybe stealing? Or a innocent bookworm. Sorry but if my child was the partier/stealing category they might need a good smack. Id rather give my child that as wake up call then PRISON. Call me wrong But again we dont know the child and what she been dealing with.
