Tips on smacking 😭😔
My 2 year old has been smacking now for about 4 weeks. It started out as just me but sometimes she hits her dad now but very rare. Every time I’m near her she smacks me. We could be playing, changing her bum, bathing her and she will smack me but only me. I’ve tried everything. Getting down to her level, time out, telling off( shouting and softly), making out as if she’s really hurt me, ignoring her but nothing is working. She gets plenty of attention as she’s with me everyday. It’s sending me insane and I don’t know how to cope with her when I’m out because of people’s stares 😔😔😔
When my girl snacks I first ask her not to smack and I tell her it’s not kind and that it hurts, if she does it again then I ask her not to again and tell her that if she does do it again that I’m going to sit somewhere else/move away from her/ not play anymore and just follow through with that. Then she usually cries and gets upset when I move away from her so then I just explain simply that It’s not nice to smack and if she wants to play/ sit with me that I need to know that she’s sorry, sometimes she just nods and sometimes she’ll actually say sorry then just carry on with whatever we were doing xx
I’ve posted about my defiant toddler many times before but I’m really at a loss now. She deliberately disobeys. Like, she knows what “no” means and if she’s doing something she knows she’s not supposed to I can ask “do you want to go in timeout?” And she’ll answer “no” and SOMETIMES stop.. I can’t take her anywhere cause she refuses to listen. She runs wild, screams, throws tantrums etc. At home she’s just as bad and absolutely nothing I do or say helps. Timeout doesn’t work, hand poppings don’t...
I love how I repeatedly told my father in law not to let my daughter root through the toy box because she doesn’t want anything out of it anyway and he keeps picking her up and taking her to the toy box no matter how many times I tell her no and tell him she doesn’t even want anything out of there anyway. At first I told him “only let her get one toy” so she picks one up and he is still holding her over the toy box then tries to put her over the baby gate so she can grab more. I’m sorry but you ...

Me and my princess first time getting epidural and I’m numb from legs is this normal i can’t walk good yet
Idk what to do. My daughter is excited to go to school each day but when she’s actually in school she’s giving the teachers such a hard time. She is constantly running out of the classroom, throws tantrums, tells the teacher no & refuses to do any work. I’m really trying to hold off on pulling her back out but I have no idea what to do. I’ve talk to her several times, I’ve taken all of her toys away, took tv time away, told her she can’t play with her siblings yet she’s still doing what she want...
My baby is breeched ☹️. She’s been head down all this time & now all of a sudden she decided to turn again & on top of that she’s laying on her stomach instead of her back 😩.. I’m overwhelmed
When we went through a smacking phase I tried the gentle hands method.
Whenever she would hit, I would tell her no and say 'gentle hands' then hold her hand and stroke my face with it, and then her face, whilst saying 'gentle hands is nice' etc
Sounds wierd but it helped so much!
