I've been wanting to go to school to become a therapist. Been thinking about it for years. But I finally just looked into it and it's an 8 year school process... 34 and going to school for 8 years then when I get out and find a job in that field I'll be in my early 40s and just in the start of my career. Does that sound weird??

I just read a really great thing yesterday and it was about, forget this “30 under 30” crap where we celebrate young people who have had accomplishments. Let’s hear from the older people who have accomplished great things while raising a family and just dealing with life. All these amazing “older” people commented with their accomplishments that were a little “later in life.” Things like writing and having their first book published in their 40’s/50’s!! There were all kinds of examples and it was very uplifting!!
In short, if you are really committed and want to work hard, you can totally do it!!

If it is something you are 100% committed to, then do it! Who cares if you'll be in your 40s just starting out. You will be at a dream job with a HUGE accomplishment! I looked into this for a while, but the person I talked to said it takes a lot of dedication and time and it just wasn't going to work for me. But if you do start, don't fucking quit. Don't waste money and have to pay back financial aid for something you didn't even finish. Get it girl!

I personally think it's never too late! If you dont do it now, then when?
