Around 4. It was awful before that. It’ became more manageable at that age

My son does ask for what he wants most of the time (if he knows the words for it) but still does cry alottt for other reasons. Like not getting his way

It started getting a little better around 2.5, when he started talking a lot. But in the last few months, he’s really gotten a lot better. If I say no, instead of crying, he’ll pout and say “well fine then”. 😂😂 The first two years were hell. He cried over EVERYTHING.

My oldest was nonverbal so, not until around 4.5y. my youngest, around 2years and a few months. He still cries and whines but I get down to his level and tell him he needs to use his words to help me understand what he is needing. That seems to help a lot.

So this is normal? My husband thinks I'm not disciplining our son well enough so he's always "acting out" 🙄
