@squishymommy1, or any of my car seat mommas. Question.
Do you recommend a high back booster over a regular booster? He has outgrown his 5 point. Is the high back booster considered safer?
The high back is a lot safer. Our doctor told us to use that instead in booster right now
@mamaof2babes, my sons car seat goes up to 65 pounds for 5 point. I was sad when he outgrew that limit. His medicine has made him gain weight fast and it fluctuates.
He will be 7 in April . His weight fluctuates due to his medication so anywhere between 65-70 pounds and he is just shy of 4 feet. I was reading some mixed reviews online.
high back is safer in a side impact scenario, but it’s not a significant difference, and there’s no difference for front/back impact. the main deciding factor for me would be whether or not they need seat belt repositioning, or additional head support that the high back provides.
I'm not a car seat pro, but from what I have read the high back is consider more on the safe side compared to a backless. I think age, height, and weight will also be a big factor.
When should I change to a high back booster? So my son is 5&1/2 years old and about 55lbs. He still in a 5 point harness car seat. When should I change him to the high back booster seat? I have the graco 3 in one seat.
@laniejay, I need u. Or expert car seat peeps. Got 5 point high back booster for my 6&1/2 year I’d for Dh’s car. The requirements are up to 50lbs my son is 55lbs and he meets the height. So it’s still safer for the 5 point high back correct? Need help ASAP!!!
graduate
What year did you graduate high school?
High chair or booster seat?
Looking back to when you were still in high school, are you where you thought you would be in life?
My daughter just out grew her 5 point harness. She’s 5 over 4 feet and 50 pounds. I wish we could of went longer. We are using the high back until she’s at least 70-80 pounds then we will go to booster.
