Should I Prioritize Work or My Friend in a Diabetic Coma?

Was suppose to work to fill in for someone today at my job that's sick, until yesterday my only best friend mother called my job to tell me she's in a diabetic coma, i broke down i just seen her over Christmas break she came to see me and my kids, now her mom is going to ny this evening on bus and i want to see her i asked my boss through text still no respond now im a pharmacy technician i feel like they should pull ppl who work at other stores that's off who wants to work idk but im so emotional idk what ill do If they say i can't im suppose to be off anyways today originally smh

No i cant i go in at 5 the bus leaves at 530 plus her mom is paying my way up there cause my funds are low until next Friday so ill be able to pay my way back

I honestly wouldn’t have even asked . I would have TOLD them I’m going and I’m sorry to leave em hanging but this is much more important . But I’ve also never been a pharmacy tech so I don’t know how that works with you guys . I feel if it was already your day off and you were just helping out then they can’t hold that against you . It’s not like you just woke up and decided you no longer felt like working .

I hate my generation sometimes ? Today was my nieces baby shower, which went great. She got so much which amazing since she's been working 2 jobs trying to save up for the unpaid leave she'll have to take from work. Anyways I was talking to one of the ladies there since my son and her daughter were playing together. I asked her what her daughters name was, she said it was Layla. I told her that's a really pretty name and asked her if she was a Clapton fan and if she was named after the song. This girl had no idea who Eric Clapton is. ? ♀ One of the most iconic songs, and she had no idea. I hate my generation. ?

need suggestions.... So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
