For hamish starting nursery (April) it has dawned on me I do far too much for him, I have started to get more help tidying toys, he has to take his plate through himself to the sink now, he is fully using an open cup except bed he takes his 360 with water still. Clothes is the next thing but he is struggling to do any of them himself, it’s my fault I have always just done it, any tips?

I've always dressed my boys then over time noticed they were doing bits themselves. Just happened naturally I didn't start making them try this or that lol. I still mostly dress Max in the mornings because he's too tired and uncooperative to do it and I need us out of the house early. But at nursery he dresses himself when toileting or if he's gotten dirty. He also does his shoes and coat (apart from zip) none of this he does at home when it's just me! 😂
I found with Daisy that dressing herself was something that just came with age. I’d start by getting him to pull up trousers and put his arms in the top if he can x
Maybe I’m expecting too much from him, problem with easy on trousers is he has massive hands and feet and even I struggle to get his joggers on over his feet 😂
