No, tomatoes/tomato sauce already have sugar. I do put cream of mushroom soup in mine though 😂

My husband does. It cuts back on the acid so he doesn't get heart burn. I personally don't like it

I know a lot of people that do but I definitely don’t. The sauce in jars have sugar. It’s terrible for you. I just make my own sauce to prevent that.

I am Sicilian, and I was raised to put a pinch of sugar in it. I have always made my own sauce, and without that pinch of sugar, it is extremely acidic. It enhances the sweetness of the tomatoes, and creates a better complexity to the sauce.
