When your newborn wants to be on the boob 24/7... do you leave him on or rock him til he’s back asleep? Mine gets so frustrated when he doesn’t get boob

On demand. It’s tough but tends to level out at about 8 weeks I found, as baby gets more of a sense of their surroundings etc. Definitely not the easiest thing to do when you have a toddler as well.

Boob on demand it’s rough but baby knows what he needs and is regulating your supply
@kellynicole, I still introduced a paci right away and made sure I nursed before using it. I’d give it once my girl unlatched
Boob when they want it. They are still adjusting to this new world and it makes them comfortable
I gave Lily the boob whenever she wanted as long as she wanted . Some won’t agree but it’s what worked for me ... and I would do it again this time also
I also agree I did that with my oldest ( named Lily as well 😊) and the other ones I got to breastfeed you do what works best for you and baby

WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE MY BABY IS TRYING TO USE MY BOOBS AS A PACIFIER TO...HE EATS WHEN HE IS HUNGRY BUT ITS STARTING TO SEEM LIKE HE WILL GO TO SLEEP ON MY BOOB AND NOT TAKE HIS PACIFIER..HE DOESNT LIKE THE PACIFIER FROM THE HOSPITAL. MAYBE I SHOULD BUY HIM A PACIFIER THATS FOR BREASTFED BABIES..HES GONNA HAVE TO GET ONE FOR WHEN HE IS AT DAYCARE BECAUSE I WONT BE NEAR FOR ATLEAST 5-6 HOURS 😣😣

I’m doing on demand. If he is just playing after eating I will offer him a pacifier. My husband commented on my still being in a bathrobe at 2pm...what’s the point of getting dressed when your boobs are constantly hanging out?!?!
