Feeling super depressed. I'm absolutely done with breastfeeding I just cant anymore. I'm back at work and pumping just makes me sad. But my baby refuses the formula I even tried different bottles and formula. HELP😞

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
I've been supplementing some with formula because my baby boy just demands more than what I'm putting out and he seems happier with the formula..my breast milk doesn't seem to satisfy him enough and it seems like he's always hungry unless I give him formula..should I switch to formula only? I thought breast milk was supposed to be best but in his case I'm not so sure ugh idk what to do I just want him to be happy

I’m sorry you feel this way! I went back to work at 4 months and I pumped 3x a day, 5 days a week until I quit my job when he was 16 months. It was hard, and exhausting washing bottles and pump parts everyday but I’m glad I did it. He’s 20 months and still nursing 😊 If you want to transition, you’ll probably have to mix the breastmilk and formula for a while til he gets used to the taste. Or try to stick it out til he’s 12 months and see if he’ll drink cow’s milk. My son won’t drink any milk besides mine. My daughter was the same way, wouldn’t drink cows milk til she was done nursing at 2.5 and it had to be chocolate.
