Yes, they can. At 9dpo it would be more unlikely as the egg is not always mature by then.

@massmomma16, ooo okay I was super confused for a second! But I got a positive at cd9 but it got darker cd 10 (today) so maybe tomorrow will be actual ovulation day! I’m just super worried I’ve ovulated too early to have a have a healthy pregnancy
