When did you guys start letting your toddler start sleeping with a big kids blanket? My son got a twin size blanket for Christmas he 16 months

I think avery is about to start teething, shes drooling a tiny bit and is starting to chew and suck on hands, blankets, toys, etc how long does the teething process usually last? cause I'm not looking forward to it!
So I have decided I want to start crocheting. Does anyone here know what I need to buy to get started? And what would be the best thing to start with? (blanket, hat, booties?)
Washing baby clothes. Is it insane to start washing clothes and blankets now? Lol

I wouldn't. They make smaller blankets. My daughter dressed in footie pajamas and had one of her baby blankets until she was almost 3
