so i got a membrane sweep today, & my midwife told me my cervix is “finger tip” meaning it’s too far up & not really down or soft enough & my due date is friday. any suggestions on how i can bring it lower?

Your cervix can change rapidly. Just relax, take a bath, sleep, and enjoy your last few kid-free days because it’ll be a whirlwind once baby is here. 🙃
lol but i’m so excited & anxious. i cannot wait. this is like the Christmas gift i’ve always wanted.
They told me the same thing about my cervix being high and a week later I was in labor it can happen quickly.

Honestly I was surprised I went past my due date with my third and with my two other children they were right next to my due date. But baby will come when baby is ready. I would make sure to stay away from Castor oil I saw your other post
Definitely skip the castor oil. Babies can and have died from it.
Now I'm going to be watching all your posts waiting for a baby announcement 🤣 I live through everyone else.
oh yeah i’m definitely NOT doing the castor oil. i would blame myself & my poor choices for doing any harm to my baby. & i’ve came so far.

It's not un-common for a first time mother to go over the due date. Rolling your hips on a yoga ball, walking, sex, nipple stimulation could possibly help. Nothing will happen though if your body just isn't ready.

@queendope nope you cant see it all all they'll list tell you when to breathe and then they're like ok were done and you like THATS IT!! lol I know I was shocked. But was lucky to have great doctor with great aim.

If this your first child I would be surprised if you went past your due date
this is my first & i have a feeling i’m going to go past my due date. my scheduled induction is a week after.
This was me cervix closed super high up at 38 +5 ... two days later everything happen on its own. No assistance with labor just started progressing . Things can happen for you rather quickly, & as a first time mom you may go over a little but you never know 🤷🏽♀️ try sitting in the squat position for minutes at a time in intervals
