My daughter has gas and she cries because of it. It even wakes her up out of her sleep. Is there anything I can give her even though she’s a week old?

My sister in-law is 13 weeks pregnant but they can not find a heart beat for the baby. She has no sign of a miscarriage, not even cramps. The Dr. Is pushing her to take some meds to help her pass the baby. This was her 1st ultrasound even. She is 38 hoping for her 1st baby. I'm telling her to wait and don't take anything. What do u guys think ?
