My daughters birthday is in 11 days and I'm so nervous for her bday party. I've never hosted anything before. I dont wanna make it boring for the kids. I want everyone to have a good time but I'm also very shy and not too social myself, even tho everyone that will be there will be close family and friends. I'm also very nervous she might cry a lot since she's not used to crowds. I just hope that day turns out better than how it is in my head

I’m sure it will be fine. Do u have any activities for the kids to do? How many kids will be there? Can they play outside or is it cold there? I love hosting parties. It’s a lot of work but usually a lot of fun too. Happy bday to your daughter

Thank you! And it'll be 7 kids total. So far the only thing I have planned as far as activities is for them to play with slime. I've been googling others and I think I'm gonna get a twister. The kids ages are from 5-11. It'll be too cold for them to be outside, but I feel like those 2 won't be entertaining enough

why about some holiday crafts? Does everyone celebrate Christmas? If so u could get some cheap crafts at michaels, AC Moore or anywhere really. U could get like ornaments to hang on their tree. Games would be fun. U have somewhere that can easily be cleaned with the slime right! That shit is a mess and 7 kids playing with it at once haha good luck with that

lol yes I do. The party will be hosted at my mom so I had to get her permission first for the slime. We all celebrate Christmas. Crafts sounds like a great idea. It'll keep them busy and entertained. Thank you for the idea

Prep ingredients the night before if you are cooking. Get the stove on asap, if possible make multiple dishes at once. Get the oven running if you need it. Cook the ones that take less amount first. Set up table, chairs, plates utencils, drinks, the night before. As well as any decor.
The less things for you to do the day off the better. Since youve still got to get ready as well as the kids. That way you can also enjoy the party!
We’ve hosted so maanny parties the past 6-7 years! Still learning till now.

At my daughter’s first birthday (December 29th) party, I had a cookie decorating station for the kids. I put a bunch of sugar cookies, white icing, icing tubes, sprinkles, and such at a table and the kids went to town!

happy birthday to yours too! I can’t believe we’re about to celebrate her 4th birthday!
Cookie decorating fit our Winter ONEderland theme perfectly that year. It was such a fun activity for the kids and adults too. It’s something they could do on their own and required very little prep from me. I’d suggest having some sort of container or bag for them to take them home in...if they make it that far. Most of them ate them immediately after decorating.
