I’m considering putting a tv in Maddox’s bedroom so he can watch 20 mins of tv in bed to help him go to sleep.
Bedtime has been hell the past two weeks and he fights it for hours. I’ve tried adjusting his naps/cutting them all together and nothing helps.
How old were your kids when they got a tv in their room??

Tv stimulates the brain and may do the complete opposite.
We do not have a tv in dd’s room. We have her read and relax he last 40mns before bed.

I agree 100% with this. Worst idea ever for a child to watch tv before bed.

The kids don’t have a tv in their room, but they have had a tv in their playroom from the very beginning. We do not limit screen time on tv, but do limit her time on the ipad. My oldest doesnt really pay attention much to the tv, it’s more like a background noise for her, it always has been 🤷🏻♀️😂 But each kid is different. My sister in law’s boys fight over the tv.

My oldest has had one in his room since he was 11 months. My youngest since he was 1.

My husband put one in our kids room on black Friday thinking they'd like it and they "didn't want to go to their room." I ended up moving it to the play room 😂 now they actually use it for movies on the weekend.

My oldest has had one since around 2 and I would put on something boring before bed lmao he’s 12 and remembers 😂😂

He is going through a massive transition right now with the new baby. He is going to take time to adjust to everything. TV actually does the opposite and will wake them up. Just stay consistent and things will improve eventually. I found what helped with my son with the transition is leaving the baby with dad or put him in the swing and I went in to read a few books and talk about the day, so you get one on one time.

We’ve been trying. It’s really hard because my husband works late a lot of the time and the baby is screaming if she’s not being held. I try to wait till I can out her down so I can take my time with bedtime but she only allows a short amount of time before she’s screaming again.

is it possible to keep him up until your daughter is ready for bed? Or for a nap? It's so hard in the beginning trying to figure out what works for everyone. Do you have any friends or family that can come by and hold the baby while you put your son to bed?
