Has anyone actually done delayed cord clamping?
@kellyhollis1996 that's cool, I'm lost with my birth plan at the moment it's about 2 lines long. Chances are anything I want is just going to be optimism and bonus lol. I might have to add it on tho as it sounds good, didnt think it would be an option with C sec
@forrestr1987 honestly just think about what you want. How you wanna be treated including pain relief etc if you want skin to skin straight away but just be prepared as you can plan all you want if baby has other plans then the that's that cause mine went out the window apart from pain relief as I was In labour for 22 and a half hours and had a episiotomy cause my LG decided to have her hand by her face so couldn't come out without it
@kellyhollis1996 lol I know that's almost why mine is so short, I think at the end of the day. Any thing can happen when get there and dont want to get disappointed if things turn out different.
I put it on birth notes with my second but the midwives asked me if I was ok with delayed cord clamping coz they recommend it xx
I wanted to do it with Theo but his cord snapped during birth. I'm hoping to do it this time around 😊 something I have to express desire about to my midwife x
Yeah it’s the only way the hospital I gave birth in do it xx
Thinking about doing it cause I was reading an article on Facebook about benefits of a quiet hour after giving birth cause I wanna establish a strong connection with this one didn't really know any better with my first. X
I may get stick for my comment.. But never heard of this and neither has my friend who recently had a baby.. Can anyone explain? X
