How long does it takes for cough to go? My baby start coughing last Wednesday and had a fever. I took him to doctors on Thursday she said that if he still will have high temperature in 24 hours will have to give him antibiotics. Thanks God his temperature has dropped and stayed norma from Thursday night, so I didn’t give him antibiotics, but his cough is still quite strong. Do I need to bring him to the doctors again to check on his cough or do I have to wait more for it to go away? It’s the first time he is ill, so I feel a bit lost and so’s sorry for him.

My littlest one had a chesty cough for around 4 weeks doc didn’t give antibiotics and he did get better on his own eventually also was told not to use that vix smelling stuff because it can irritate them more , plenty of fluids xx

Oh that’s good he got better on his own. It’s just so hard to see them being sick. x

We're on week 3, first they said was chest infection give antibiotics, went back again as no improvement so another set of antibiotics. Then he got worst so back again then sent to hospital , have now been told its RSV as they tested him yesterday. X hopefully your lo is better soon

My little girl has been cough for about 3 weeks now she not had any antibiotics but going to take her to the doctor tomorrow because we r going away soon
