So I have a friend that recently started dating this guy. He has a baby due in 2 months. Can them dating affect the child custody process? I told her I didnt think it could affect it but she is freaking out. She dont want to lose him and she definitely doesn't want him to lose the chances of being there for his baby.

If there’s baby momma drama and goes back and forth between women then that might be a issue not really worth it IMO
They dont even know each other. Hasnt seen each other since high school and they was in 2 different cliques in school

But she should be mindful of the time he will need to spend with his child.

No it won’t affect anything.
Not speaking on facts just my thought is I wouldn’t think it would unless she had some sort of record or child abuse charges or something where they’d think she was someone who should not be around the baby. But even then, they might tell him she’s just not aloud. But if she’s got nothing on her record I’d think it wouldn’t make a difference.
