I have really enjoyed my breastfeeding journey so far, it's been emotional, and sometimes exhausting. But it's been worth it. The first few months are difficult, extra difficult. You feel like you're feeding all the time, but once you've passed the "will I ever sleep again!?" stage it becomes so rewarding. It will be very difficult to get things sorted with twins, but I know a few women who have exclusively breastfed twins (even triplets) for the first 6 months, so it's not impossible! :)
Although, you don't have to pick either breast or bottle, you could always combination feed. If there was one piece of advice I wish someone had given me it would be - don't put to much pressure on yourself to breastfeed. Enjoy your child, whether formula feeding or breast feeding your child will be OK. As long as they are loved and are being fed, then it doesn't matter.
No one can decide for you, you just have to figure out what is best for you and your little ones.
Fed is best🤗 It’s completely up to yourself. I wanted to breastfeed but it didn’t work out and we switched to formula and he was great with it. If you do decide to breastfeed I’d say don’t put too much pressure on yourself like I did. You could always combination feed too. xx
Whatever works for you, I tried to breastfeed but just couldn't get on with it and once my nipples started bleeding that was it 😂 luckily i had already bought bottles, sterliser etc so just switched to formula and been great 😊xx
Both! My first was combi fed for two weeks then formula/bottle fed as I really struggled to breastfeed but I got more help this time and am exclusively breastfeeding my second baby! The first 4/5 weeks were really hard but it’s much less hassle not having to sterilise bottles etc. There’s no right or wrong way! Xx
The best option is what you’re happy with. I breastfed both of mine 1st until 15m and 2nd still feeding. But breast worked for us and I wouldn’t have been happy for me to give them formula.
