Am I the only one who doesn’t like when other kids are playing with your child’s toys and then they don’t even share your child’s toys with your child????
And I also do not like her having to share her toys with older children because they can run her toys down a lot quicker than she would be able to.
I just hate feeling like a villain constantly trying to get the kids not to do this or that with the toys, or trying to get them to share her own toys with her 🙄.. It’s like I don’t want to tell my friend to make her kids ease up because I’m trying to be nice and let the kids play, but it eats at me the whole time, and she just lets them play however.

My nearly 3 yr old take EVERYTHING from his sister. 🙄 it drives me nuts. He literally snatches everything she picks up. How old are the other kids? If they are also toddlers, then chances are they are still trying to grasp the concept of sharing and probably don’t even think of them as being “her toys”. I find myself repeating “don’t take that from her” and “let her play, too” all day long!

They’ve been on her bike and won’t let her have a turn but they give each other back to back turns so they know how to share, and they’ve been running the battery out of her walking unicorn just pushing it over and over like a thousand times. The unicorn doesn’t even walk but one step now as opposed to four. The little girl is 4 and the boy is 3.

eeek. I would just put those things up when they visit then. They are both still pretty young too, and their mom is probably just used to the confusion when they play and what’s going on doesn’t even phase her anymore 😆 I know I can be that way unintentionally because there is constant confusion when my kids play together. Siblings so close in age tend to compete for attention. If they are too big for something or if you are worried about something getting broken, I don’t think it’s mean to speak up and say something and then just take and put whatever it is up. Or tell them they all three need a turn and you will let them know when it’s their turn to play with the bike or whatever the toy is.

yes I’m definitely putting most of them up for next time. But thank you for the explanation. You definitely helped me to see it a little differently. This is definitely new to me

Мама двоих (2 года, 4 года), ждёт третьего
My nephews who are much older than my kids come over and literally destroy their toys. I have a 2 year old and the 8 year old nephew will ride and climb all over the baby toys and would always try to sit in the baby swing. 🙄 His parents would just laugh and think it’s funny that he thinks he’s a baby. Guess who isn’t invited over very often.

Yea They’ve been climbing and standing on it and I don’t want them on her bike because I feel like they’ll tear it up before she can really ride it all the way. And my friend barely says anything so I don’t blame you. I’m glad she’ll only have to see them on Sundays. I’m going to try to hide most of her toys next time
