When did you ladies start giving your child timeout.. my son is 1 and idk if he's to young.. I've read a few things on Google saying timeout that young is useless because they don't know what they are doing hurt or whatever.

It is pretty young to grasp that concept. At 1 I focused more on redirection and praising good behavior and not giving attention for misbehavior.

Yup I praise for good behavior all the time but it hurts when he mashes my face with toys! I just say that's not nice I can't let you hurt anybody we give hugs and kisses

At 1 they have no concept of punishment they think your just being mean I started closer to 2 when they start knowing right and wrong and tantrums even 2 though they still don’t fully understand so it can be frustrating. I do more “quiet time” rather than punishment where they can calm down and collect themselves since they get overwhelmed easily.
