Have any moms taking the injection shots to prevent preterm labor ? My doc wants to me to do it. But I dont want anything to happen to me or the baby.

i had two preterm deliveries, one at 31 weeks with my twins, and one at 36 weeks with my son. i’m currently taking the injection, in my butt and i hate it, well the side effects it stings and burns and leaves the area feeling sore for a day. the high risk doctor said it’s suppose to help, haven’t heard that it can cause the baby to die 😰 ima ask about that at my appointment on Monday

I took it with my last it helped it was in my butt I think it helped ...my first was 2 months early and the other two were 35 weeks but I only had the shot with the last one no issues

They had me on the mckeena injection every week... I had my 2nd born at 34w1d. I had to take them with my 3rd pregnancy, made me swell up. And with baby #4 which is now i had to take them again, but they were bruising me, i couldnt use that arm for 2 days, the last shot i got was like 2 months ago( i decided to stop them) they were bruising me really bad, i now have a scar from the needle hole in my right arm... They cannot garentee you they work!!! So id think bout it honey! Its 100% honestly up to you!

They wanted me too, because I had one preterm baby at 35 almost 36 weeks. I told them no, because they said it could cause the baby to die. Scared me shitless
