No judgment please 🙏 okay so we are looking to rent a house and my oldest is 19 . She is a full time college student and pays no bills household wise . Everywhere says an app must be submitted for anyone 18 and older . I don’t want her responsible for our bills . My husband makes more than enough to cover household bills . I feel like she has 1 foot out the door and what if she decides to move out ? Dorms next year or apartment with friends. I just think it should be an exception being a child of ours/full time student 🤷🏻♀️

It’s probably to do a criminal background check rather than responsibility for bills. You could be evicted later on if they find out she’s been living there without them knowing. You should put her down on the paperwork. Better safe than sorry.

Yea she should be added to the lease. But it doesn’t make her responsible for the bills just stating anyone over 18 living there. Just put her on it it’s not a big deal. My parents made me pay a little rent when I turned 18 haha. But I wasn’t in school just working full time.
