This is a long post but please if you can read it and maybe give me your opinion on what I should do please....I'm kind of freaking out & not sure what to do, I'm on maternity leave from work which is covered by MetLife. They were giving me the run around for weeks about missing medical paperwork & then having to request more info from my manager. After all the bs I went through spent over $75 to have my doctor's office fill the forms out 3 TIMES, and fax them only for MetLife to say each time they haven't received them. The Friday before I had my son I called because I hadn't heard anything and the rep told me everything was received they were just awaiting a decision by my case manager. Now here it is almost 2 weeks later, I call yesterday only for another rep to tell me that the medical paperwork wasn't received and the claim was in a denied status which was the complete opposite of what the rep told me 2 weeks ago. I called the case manager directly but he doesn't answer his phone. Left two messages but haven't had a response yet. My last check was only $400 cuz the disability hasn't been approved and I don't know what I'll do if I don't get this corrected asap because I have bills to pay, 2 kids to take care of, on top of it being the holiday season I won't even be able to buy gifts. I'm at the point where I want to hire a lawyer because this is unfair if I don't get my paychecks I can't pay my rent or put food on the table... I don't know if that's an option though?
