What do you do when you have a 4 year old that has tantrums when you tell him to do something?HELP

@kush_queen420, I mean, I’d cry too if someone hit me. Spankings are a last resort in my house as was it when I was a child. Toddlers have tantrums over everything, I know mine does because he can’t express himself properly.

We use red (bad) and green (good) choices. Learned it from preschool
and it’s worked very well for us.

I calmly walk mine around and make them do it lol if I say pick up something I’ll grab their hands and assist them even through a fit
Timeouts. Quiet time and try and talk about why he’s having a tantrum, helping him do it. Varies depending on what it is.
I want to try talking with my child first before I begin to say okay I'm going to spank you every parent is different but spanking kids aren't always the answer but to each it's own the only thing that I will do to my son is give him a few pops on his hand or but that's as far as it goes
