I definitely wouldn’t even entertain him. He participated in sex and a child was made. Now he is financially obligated and responsible to provide. It’s your child’s right to receive that financial support from him as well. Your ex is a sad ass excuse for a human and he isn’t a man and doesn’t know the first thing about being one.
