What was yalls experience with Pitocin??

I had it with my first, it sucked. I was on the max dose and my induction still was 48hrs long. I didn’t lose my much plug until around 36hrs in and my water didn’t break until I was pushing

Wow all these experiences are wonderful and helpful opinions I just don’t know what to really expect?? So once the pitocin starts does the mucus plug and my water break then or the doctor break it?? See it would be easy if the shit just breaks lol

All three were different for me. The pitocin seemed to get gradually less effective with each of my babies. I’m not sure if my pain tolerance became different 🤷🏽‍♀️

I really do think it depends how ready you’re body is and what not my first I wasn’t dilated at all my second I was dilated I believe to a two already and already dropped and ready

With my son i was induced with pictocin and my labor was 12 hours and with my daughter I was also induced with it and my labor was 6 hours.

It can get fucked! I was maxed out and still labored for 15 hours. Ended up with a c section because my son got stuck. I had a really traumatic pregnancy, delivery and postpartum so 🤷 I didn't like pitocin one bit

Had a fast 3 hour natural labor.

Makes you have contractions faster

I didn't have any problems with it with my first. I was given pitocin in the morning and I didn't start feeling it til the early evening

My first I was induced with pitocin for pre e. My second I went into labor on my own. I didn’t have an epidural or any pain meds with either. With pitocin my contractions hit back to back. Without pitocin my contractions were close but my body had time to have a break in between. I know from your previous posts that you have a medical reason to induce and that’s the only time I’d say its worth it. I would never electively want to be induced.

It helped with my second. I dilated fast

Depends on how you tolerate pain. My first was horrible but my second wasn’t bad at all with pitocin.

Pitocin contractions are horrible, but they get the job done for me.

HORRIBLE had it with all 3 and it made me vomit on top if making the contractions 1000000 times harder
