I had this happen with my last pregnancy, my doctor had me come in once a week for ultra sounds, within the next week, he was caught up with the fluid and all went back too normal.

They were watching for gestational diabetes, I guess that can be a sign of it..

This happened to me with my daughter they just told me I had an increased chance of going into labor early and weren't really sure why I had extra fluid. They will probably just keep checking the positioning of the cord and look at baby to see how they are doing and check to see the baby is swallowing and her kidneys look good. And just keep monitoring the fluid levels.

I did. Started measuring ahead around 35 weeks. Midwife brushed if off. Went back for my next appointment. Was measuring even more ahead. Got an ultrasound and had extra fluid. I was induced at 39 weeks on the dot (literally midnight on the start of my 39th week) to be safe and had to be monitored the whole time.

There can be complications with the umbilical cord or baby turning the wrong because of the extra fluid. As long as they monitor you all should be well.
