I truly need to know does anyone else on thanksgiving not make mashed potatos???? I'm truly in shock.. first thanksgiving with the inlaws and they told my husband and I they don't make them... so weird to me... missing my family so much more this thanksgiving!
I was asked to make the dessert for Thanksgiving dinner. I have no idea what to make. Any suggestions? My fiance's not really into dessert so he's no help.
So I just found out that my husband is sleeping with my sister and they are making fun of me.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
I was thinking about just making a ham instead of a turkey its my first year cooking thanksgiving dinner and I have to do it alone. Plus I've never made a turkey before.
Let’s take thanksgiving back!!! Oh so I’ve seen so many post about people dreading thanksgiving with in laws or hosting and stressing over that!! My husband asked 3 years ago that With Christmas being around the corner with all that rushing Around that we take our thanksgiving back!!! It’s truly amazing our thanksgiving days. No stress and just lounging all day cooking a bit. But making the whole spread. So maybe make it your new tradition of just staying home with your so and kids!! Who’s with me lol?!?!

My in-laws don’t do mashed potatoes either. They do sweet potatoes instead. We have thanksgiving together (my family and Dh’s family) so we’ll have both since my mom is hosting this year. 🤣

Oh it’s a must that you have mashed potatoes at thanksgiving. I will not go anywhere when there’s no mashed potatoes. I understand some people don’t like regular potatoes can substitute it with sweet potatoes or mashed cauliflower but you got to have mashed potatoes for thanksgiving.
