Okay guys this is super weird for me to ask but I’m willing to do it. Has anyone that’s breastfeeding a baby ever pumped and gave some breastmilk to their sick toddler just to help them get better? I’m seriously considering it because the dr said since I’m sick my milk will have antibodies in it to help the baby get better faster. If it would help I’m willing to pump and let him have some if he will drink it. Is that weird?

I’m gonna try and see if he will drink some! Stuff is like magic so I’m like “why does she get to get better FASTER just because she’s breastfeeding” lol

Yea I did. He went to bed sick as hell w 103 temp drank the breastmilk woke up fine

I’m so doing it. He seems to be fine he’s acting normal but like he’s not fine and I want him to get better just as quickly as the baby will

Not weird at all. My daughter has been drinking my pumped milk since my son was born. She won’t drink it straight, I mix it with cow’s milk or kefir. And it’s not everyday, only if I have extra I need to get rid of. My son is 19 months so I don’t really have extra now, other than what’s still in the freezer but I had a lot when he was an infant.

I pumped for my toddler when I had my second baby. I tried giving both my older girls breastmilk recently and they didn’t like it 🤣

Yeah I’m thinking he won’t like it lol doesn’t hurt to try though. At least my baby will drink it lol

I did. He didn’t want to drink it when he needed it, I had some froze. He hadn’t had breastmilk for awhile when I tried. He’s drank and liked it after the baby was born.
