Aww, I bet they love their books. I love buying my daughter books. I get them from Marshall’s, HomeGoods and the library for really cheap though, like half price and even less than half price sometimes. I’m sure I’ll spoil her with books from the fair when the time comes though. I remember being the kid who’s parents couldn’t afford book fair books and that sucked lol. Especially because I loved books as a kid.
It’s crazy how much you can spend at one last time it was over 200 for all four of my kids lol
This was my mom when I wanted books. Toys usually were a no but she always bought me books.
Out of all of my mom kids, I was the only one who liked books and was always excited about the book fair so she didn’t mind😂 but they weren’t this expensive though 😑
@j.concepcion, same. My only sister was never into books. So my mom was happy I was. Yea that’s true too. Same with the book orders too. I remember getting a bunch of stuff for $20. Sometimes my mom would let me get a video game off of it.

I said to only pick out 3 books and walked out with 7. The cheapest one is the secret life of pets.
The other books ranged from $10-$15
Those damn book fairs get you at $10+ a book. I broke mine up throughout 3 days so i didnt feel so bad, but i spent the same
I went today since I had to pick up her report card. The last day for the book fair is on Monday.
I thought they were gonna hand out those pamphlets that they usually give out.
@j.concepcion I like the pamphlets because I dont have to actually order and once it disappears the kids dont think about it again.
At least you got books. My son already bought a book with the $4 he had in his bag (dh went to the bank and took him $20). When he got home he happily showed us his paw patrol book and three quarters. When asked what he did with the $20 he said...."I gave it to someone in school. That's how I got the quarters!"

We just order some last night. Were u spend $25 and get 1 free but it had to be $5. My daughter has the shimmer and shine one and the pets 2 saw it on clearance today at target and was going to get it but saw it had stickers.
@j.concepcion last year when my daughter was in pre-k she made me go twice and the last time I was in labor. 🤦♀️ but they had buy 1 get 1 free and the free was any1 u wanted. They just charge u for the higher price one.
This is why I refuse to go to the book fair I just send each child with $10 on the day their class goes lol.
When I was little, they didn’t do it by class. They would just send out a couple of kids at a time.
My daughter would’ve lost those $10 if I gave it to her.
@j.concepcion, aw that sucks my kids school tells you what day their class will be going, they usually go twice first time they get to make a list of what they want and the second time they can bring money in a ziploc with their name.

I spent hundreds of dollars between the book order and book fair last year. Strangely enough I haven't received one book order yet this year

I would let them pick the books, but only buy 1 there and buy the rest on eBay 😂. I get awesome quality used books really cheap all the time.
