At this point my sons bday and Xmas for my kids is out the window... I’m completely devastated. He’s so excited for his birthday this year because of all the birthday parties his friends have been having at school lately. He’s actually telling me the toys he wants...and I can’t do it for him. At this rate I might even have to cancel his party 😥💔

I haven’t...we just can barely get by I lived with my parents still when I got pregnant with my daughter. My mom was willing to still obviously let me stay there but I felt bad if that had to happen so I rushed to move out before I gave birth. We moved a month before my due date, we can’t afford ANYTHING. I quit my job because it was emotionally draining and I was going to either lose my baby or go into preterm labor because of her(her business got shut down a couple months ago). I either regret quitting or regret getting the job...if I hadn’t gotten the job I’d still at least have my cash aid but I lost that 2 months after I started working and I can’t get it back and now I can’t seem to get another job 😔

Salvation Army & Goodwill sometimes have some nice gently used toys. Local organizations also do toy drives around the holidays. He’s still really young so even a few things will be a big deal.

Our plan was woody and buzz for bday and that’s its. Xmas was Santa present 3 toys to unwrap and his stocking and that’s it. The baby was gonna get a Santa present and her stocking stuff and nothing to unwrap it was going to be so simple 😔

@bubbys.mommy, I know you’re disappointed that it’s not going according to plan, but he won’t know that it didn’t go according to plan. You might be surprised with some of the decent, almost new toys they have at secondhand shops.

Who cares about a party I never had one party as a kid I didn’t die get him a box cake and call it a day then get on the toys for tots list if possible look for some churches that give toys out that’s all I ever got as a kid used shit 🤷🏼♀️whatever works they won’t care

Why does it have to be all about presents?? He’s so so young and I’m sure even one thing would make him happy? I think it’s more stressful for you then him. Two months from now he won’t talk or care about said parties

It’s not. He was just excited this year and he actually understands what’s going on this year. He was telling me what he wants and we were looking through the amazon book of toys and he was so so excited to see his favorite things in it. It was going to be very simple this year
