I keep my little family away from my biological father. He has met my little boy once, it was forced on me. My child still has a relationship with my siblings on his side. He is not getting the chance to ruin my children's lives in the way he did mine.

My partner supports my decision to keep him away 100%. He knows all about my childhood, not just from me but from other adults who were around at the time. He's also seen my bio father get extremely angry at me as an adult and the effect that had on me. His side of the family have all made the conscious decision to not be involved in our lives as well, none of them have met my little one, which is honestly fine with me, if you can keep someone like my father around your children and not see that something is wrong then your not people I want around my child.

Don't worry about upsetting others anymore. You need to make decisions about what is best for your child, no matter who it upsets. If that person has the potential to cause harm to your child in any way then you'll never feel comfortable with them being around. Arguments are nothing in the grand scheme of things. Xx
