Scariest time with Conor this evening I mentioned earlier he had a reaction to some food and that he’s teething rather badly aswell so I gave him some teething gel and all of a sudden he’s screamed and at first I thought he was chocking because he’s nose and around the mouth lining went white, my poor boy could not breathe he was struggling, then again his eyes and cheeks went red raw and was boiling I eventually realised he wasn’t chocking but was reacting to the teething gel, got a wet cold flannel for him to bite onto and finally after a horrendous time he calmed down. Didn’t open his eyes the whole time and still hasn’t. I just don’t understand what’s going on because he’s had it before and been ok. He had his MMR jabs few days ago so maybe something to do with that which is unlikely but god I’ve never been so scared 😓got a docs appointment Tuesday so hopefully can find out why this is happening to my little boy 💙

Which gel was it? My youngest had a reaction to dentinox teething gel, well I think it was that because the 2 nights I used it he was breathing funny but I just thought he had a cold or something. Was about to have an ambulance out the second night because he was grunting and ribs sucking in, but it calmed down. It didn’t happen again when I never used it anymore so think it was that x

Aww bless him! It's deffo an allergy. I used Dentinox with Layla when her teeth first started coming through but had no problems. I went to buy it in Asda the other month and it was taken off the shelves. I also tried Lidl coz I used to get it there and it was taken off the shelves there too! Maybe that's why?! So scary when things like that happen. Hope he's ok now and u! Xx

I've heard that some babies have had the same reaction to detinox cradle cap shampoo. It's scary! I hope your both OK now. I definitely second the chamomile tea for teething. Soak a muslin in it and pop it in the fridge for a few hours then let him chew away! Xx
