I know it says not to apply Vick’s vapor rub on a baby under two, does that also mean they can’t breath in the Vick’s shower melts?
@bubbys.mommy, ooh good to know ! Do you put it in his chest and feet?
@llcoolkay, I put it on his chest/belly,feet and his back.
@bubbys.mommy, okay great. I’ll def do it as soon as I get it. Thank you
I wouldn’t bkz Baby rub is strong enough for their little nose they don’t need Vick’s that is way stronger .. the Vick’s can actually increase mucus and inflame the inside of their nose and cause them trouble breathing because their airway is way more narrow than older people
Thank you!!! I knew I heard this somewhere but I couldn’t remember
@llcoolkay, yes baby rub is good enough ! Trust me I put some on my baby where it says to and I can smell her with it on Wen I’m not even next to her lol so it’s pretty strong for them.. n it helps soothe them with the lavander essential oils In it ! Wen my daughter was sick with a stuffy/runny nose she would cry and be fussy all day and night until I put the baby rub on her she was able to actually breathe better and sleep through the night !
@flamingfiremom, I have the children’s version and it says not under two. Should I still use it?
I'm not sure if you can use them on a baby but we have a vicks humidifier, they take the vapor pads and a liquid.
My daughter when she was a newborn had a respiratory caugh badly and hard to breathe sometimes. I had vapor rub things and put them in her humidifier and it really helped but i put baby vicks on her chest also
@llcoolkay yes it was. They were little sheet looking things
@anicole3285, oh I’ve never seen those! I’ll definitely look for some
They make a Vicks baby and a children kind.... The regular is just a stronger version.
@scidg3, I have children’s Vick’s. I might try it tonight
@llcoolkay Yea! I've used children's on the baby, I didn't know I had that and I thought it was baby one, he did fine with it.
@scidg3, okay good! Poor thing is so congested. He’s having a hard time eating because he’s so stuffed up
I used the baby Vick’s on my son. He’s had respiratory problems since he was 10 months old and it did wonders for him
