First I wipe them down with a magic eraser and just water. Then I use Simple green stone polish. But whatever stone polish you decide to use, you kind of have to buff it out with a dry cloth or paper towel after

You have to use both. The eraser and water to get rid of grease or food, then the polish. And dry it completely afterwards
