The best thing you can do is have this conversation with him. If he has rejected you in the past you should ask him why. Nothing builds intimacy like having a tough conversation and getting past a problem together. No fighting. No getting defensive. Listening to understand not to explain. Hope you get past this tricky period in your relationship because I definitely am in the same boat
