It would probably be just as effective, and cheaper, to get a credit card with a small credit limit, use it for one purchase each month, and pay it off at the end of every month.
not if you have credit like mine. I screwed up a secured credit card account I had. It was “paid off” with the down payment or whatever. But now I can’t get another credit card of ANY kind. So I resort to things like this, and cheap purchases off fingerhut.
