you can but not Jamaican castor oil since it a bit thicker and more for thick curly hair buuuut you can use just plain castor oil and you can use it on its own but in very small amounts because it’s very thick and heavy. I put small drops in the front, middle and back and massage it all in. My daughter had super thin hair and undefined curls and I started using thing a couple of months ago and it’s grown so much thicker and longer and most importantly healthier
