I became a stay at home mom over 2 months ago and it’s been hard. It’s stressful dealing with screaming kids everyday and I don’t get the adult interaction I had before. My daughter goes to TK for 4 hours a day so that’s a little break but I still have my son.
My sister lives nearby but she has a newborn, a 5 year old, a part time job and a husband that’s never home so we barely see each other. How do you not feel lonely all the time? On weekends I try to take some time to myself but it’s really not enough compared to how much time I spend with my kids.

Lol. It's been almost 3 years of that for me

It’s almost impossible not to feel alone lol. I would just watch as much tv as my daughter would let me or stay on FaceTime with a friend of mine like all day while she’s at work. She works in security and sits at a desk all day so she would keep me company and I do the same for her lol. That’s the only way I stay sane if no one comes to visit us lol.

I don’t watch much TV while my kids are awake. My daughter will sit with me but she wants to watch her shows, not mine. My son won’t watch TV at all, but he plays pretty good by himself. That’s funny about FaceTimeing all day lol. I wish I could do that!

Oh well my daughter doesn’t watch much tv. She’s not really interested. She’d rather play with her toys. And if she does watch her 1 favorite show she likes to do so on her tablet because she likes holding it. But yea FaceTime is golden lol!

This is the story of my life as well!
I used to talk to my best friend all day long but over the past month we’ve both been so busy se haven’t spoken much.
Tbh I go out to target, the supermarket, mall, coffee just to keep myself busy and see other people. It helps. I think u just come to terms with it.
I think Loneliness is part of the identity of being a stay at home mom. Not for everyone but a lot of women.
