So this is the THIRD time in a month now that I’ve bought meat & it’s been still good on the use by dates but the meat is completely bad. I bought a roast LAST NIGHT that never went unrefrigerated, use by date is Nov 22nd, I just opened it & it smelled like I opened a body bag & the whole one side of it was the wildest colors I’ve ever seen in meat. I’m so pissed 😤

What store did you buy it at? I know some places repackage meat that is past its date, a local one by us used to. They are out of business now.

We always go to our Walmart. We have never had an issue before so it’s shocking to have this many this close together. I think I’ll just buy my meat from somewhere else from now on.

Definitely call them. Or go in with your receipt and find a new grocery store. 3 times in one month is ridiculous.

@dntcarenomo, @imback, @sourpatchkid, I called & told them about it. Only thing they can really do for me is give me the money back but I really don’t care about that I just don’t wanna keep buying bad meat. The supervisor was really nice & explained what he thinks must be happening & was gonna be sure to check into it & do better but I still think I’m gonna switch stores for at least meat. It was Walmart so I figured they’re trustable plus I’ve never had an issue with ours before. All food has always been good & if we ever had an issue with something where it was damaged or something we didn’t notice, they always handled it easily. But three times in a month is not only a lot of money but a lot of frustration because like today, I had a million things to do & wanted to throw a simple roast in the crockpot so I didn’t have to think about dinner & now I’m forced to have to stop at some point to cook because I didn’t get anything else really for the crock pot & on top of it, it’s way too late to start something in there now lol.

I noticed that with a couple things I bought the last few weeks. They were all beef items too. Dates were fine, looked fine but when I opened them I could smell they were no good. We shop Winco and have never had the problem before with the same items.

That’s my exact situation. Dates were fine & looked fine but the second you open it, you just KNOW. This roast though on the side you can’t see in the package was wild looking though. Any other time they looked normal but this time even if it didn’t smell I still wouldn’t have made it cause of the colors. I’d trust meat made in an easy bake oven before that 😂
