So after 20 minutes I finally got my daughter to sleep!!! I usually rock her to sleep (yes I know, it’s crazy to still be rocking her) so I wanted to change things up and get her accustomed to going to sleep differently. I read this article that said you should get your kids in bed BEFORE they fall asleep. I would normally rock her to sleep and then lay her in her crib. But tonight, I laid her in her crib, kissed her, and said night night and began to pat her to sleep. She definitely put up a little fight, and fussed/whined, and repeatedly said “no no no” over and over again, but I just continued to kiss her and say night night to reassure her it’s bedtime lol. Nevertheless, I did it! Im so excited. I just have to keep up the routine and hopefully we will have a new nap time and bedtime routine!!!

no lol she’s laying on the bed on her side but my arm is around kinda under her and I like bounce her up and down and she falls asleep.. lol it’s hard to explain 😂

It isn’t crazy some nights I rock my 3 year old to sleep lol he’s so independent and tries to act so grown I really enjoy when he lets me baby him

I try to continue to tell myself I’m going to miss everything about babying her. I just want her to be able to sleep at daycare eventually when she goes without her being rocked or held. I honestly love cuddling her though. I just stared at her while she was asleep because it really hit me that she’s growing up

Girl, I rocked my son off and on til well past 3 years old! He'll still let me if he's sick or somethin but it's RARE! You do WHATEVER in the world works for the 2 of you. Enjoy the rocking snuggles as long as you guys wanna Mama!

No way are alone Mama! That was the ONLY way mine would sleep girl. You BEST believe we were rocking EVERY night! Now it's like a treat when he says he wants me to "hold him on his back like a baby". Haha! He's funny! He makes a point EVERY time to say you hold me like a baby but I'm NOT a baby Mom, I'm still big...OOOOKKKAAAYYY??? Lol!
