I’m researching a lot about periods after childbirth & I’m still kind of confused. I’m breastfeeding and my bleeding stopped at 2 weeks post partum. Then it showed two days l8r like a period... with light cramps n tiny clots & the “smell”.... but I’m not sure if I should b concerned because I thought breastfeeding moms took a while to get a period .. 🤔 any moms experience this?

Anything within 6-8 weeks is considered postpartum bleeding. With my son I got it right away. With my daughter I just got it at 4 months pp. I breastfed both exclusively. everyone is different.

@prettymom3, yes. My pp bleeding had basically trickled down getting lighter and lighter until it stopped. Then all of a sudden at 8 weeks I had bright red bleeding like my normal period. With my daughter it took 4 months. There’s no guarantees
